Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

As you know Heidi is a huge Harry Potter fan. We watched the trailer for Half Blood Prince tonight.. So excited! This one is definitely on the dark side. But she can't wait. The release is November 21st. Maybe this will be her first date out after the baby.. or a distraction that he isn't here yet.

Heidi was setting the alarm tonight, I was in bed waiting to cuddle. She jumps back and turns on the light. There was a spider... IN THE CLOCK! How did it get there?

Baby stuff

Last night we put together the new dresser. We were really just checking all the pieces were there and not broken. We got it all together, it looks great... missing one drawer knob. No phone number for the company found yet. We bought it at Penny's, so we will just call them. We need to check the crib too, but I don't think we are going to assemble it yet. On top of the dresser are the babies first books! Thank you Peder, Sarah and Aurelia! Now we just need a name for this boy....

Happy Birthday to...

Heidi! She is at work right now, but when she gets home we are going on a walk together! I hope she has a great day. I plan to give her some extra cuddle time today.

baby shopping update

After a few hours on the internet I found a crib and dresser and bought them. As for a theme. I don't want to do a specific theme. I think we are going to do outdoors in general. Animals, a few planes, cars, trains, nature, and stars.

Registering By Heidi

So it is kind of fun to run around a store and just pick stuff. However I have never done this before.. Will I like it? How many do I need? Will I use it? I found out the stroller I wanted is discontinued. The store had one left out of the box. I liked the replacement better, so I registered for that instead! But the crib.. I finally found one I liked. I was told it was limited stock. Ok, I can buy it today, that is fine, how many left...NONE. NONE in Washington. Ok WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE IT ON THE FLOOR??!! So I am back to nothing on a crib. I know I have time.. but I want to get one I like, not settle at the end. I haven't really picked a theme for the nursery yet. It is painted sky blue with clouds. We will not do an airplane theme. Any recommendations will be welcome!

She passed the test!

I tested Heidi last night. I wanted to see how motherly she is. Actually it wasn't a test. I was scared. We are having a rare thunder and lightning storm. We have had over 2500 strikes so far and more on the way. The news people say we haven't had a storm like this since 1999. Thunder freaks me out. I don't understand it. I shake and pant. I just want to cuddle as close as possible. I want this over soon.

It's a boy!

Everything went well with the ultrasound. They said boy right away. I will try to post ultrasound pictures later. (vain note.. the double chin is the camera angle. I have gained 6 lbs. )
