Long run without me

No question he is Heidi's child!

My people took a long run/walk without me.  They were gone a long time. I had to guard the house. I was rewarded later by going swimming!   Heidi didn't do as well as she hoped. She only took 6 minutes off her time from November.  I guess she will have to do another on!  Maybe I get to go along on that one.

Cooking show

Heidi feels like the host of a cooking show with this new oven.  She always wonders who the poor sap is that has to clean the oven to make it look like new every time it is opened.  Well, for now our looks like that!  Yesterday we baked Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies and also peanut butter cookies. (I got some of the peanut butter ones, they were very good! ) They are adjusting to the convection baking.  Convection uses fans to circulate the heat. The food bakes more evenly and a little faster.  The temp is 25* less than conventional  bake and about 2 minutes faster.  So far they have only done cookies and pizza.  They love it!  The dishwasher too. It is so quiet! 

Marshall's latest favorite is Toy Story. He calls them Cowboy 1 and Cowboy 2. ( He doesn't know about 3 yet.) We found a 7 pack of the characters yesterday.

New Stuff

Since we moved in my people have not been a fan of the dishwasher or the range.  Memorial Day we went for a family outing to look at dishwashers.  We were there for what felt like FOREVER and left.  Yesterday these people showed up with big boxes.  My people got a new dishwasher. It is super quiet and they didn't have to re-wash any silverware!  The also got a new range.  Heidi seems extra excited about this. I have no idea what convection is, but she is happy about it.  If it gets me more cookies or pizza, I am on board.  We tested it out tonight with pizza.  It was yummy!  Perfect crust.  They are also excited that there are no coils on the bottom, so it is easier to clean.  They didn't NEED the microwave.. but it all has to match right?!

Concert and Food

My people went to the U2 concert this weekend. They had a blast. If you like U2, you should go. It is so worth it!
