40 minutes to go..

We are in the last hour of 2006. This will be the first year here we haven't gone downtown to watch the fireworks. Chad and I have both been sick this week, and it is 35 degrees outside. Seattle has a GREAT firework show. They completely light up the space needle. We will watch it on tv and have a drink.
2006 was a great year! I got a new niece and nephew. I did an amazing feat in completing the 3 day walk. I paid off a few more things. I am healthier than I started the year. (other than the cold I am getting over) At the beginning of each year I make a list of goals. I looked over them last night and I reached them all! I made my list for 2007. My biggest goal will be to keep up the exercise. I will have to keep finding little events to keep myself motivated.

Christmas party at the tower

We don't have an actual party, so during the course of day we all dresses up and ate a ton! Santa even worked! I do have to work christmas day. It isn't bad, the pilots are usually in good moods. Chad and I will than have dinner and open gifts.

61 hours

We have power again!!! It only took 61 hours. What did we do first? Eat! We had to empty the frig, a few things in the freezer and reset clocks. Chad is very happy to have football. He was putting on shoes to go find the game when the power came back. I never thought it would take this long to restore power. The weather has been good since the storm.

Note to all. Check you have enough flashlights, batteries, matches, firewood and candles. You never know.....

Puppy Log day 2

We started day 2 today without power. I am not sure about these tubes with lights on the end of them. It is cooler in the house, but I like it. My owners miss the tv. I can still play fetch in the dark.

I am glad that my work has a shower. We went to friends for dinner last night, so we had hot food. I don't know what we will do tonight for food. We have tons of firewood, so we are warm. How will we watch football tomorrow????
We lost some vital equipment here at work, so that has been interesting. I am glad I am not trying to travel this weekend.
I guess I should have put a generator on the Christamas list...

What Seattle is lacking...

An indoor dog park! We are experiencing storm number 3 of the week this week. Wind (50 miles/hour expected today) rain rain and rain. I can't play fetch and my people are wimps and wont walk. (in the people defense.. it is raining sideways and when we walked sunday in the rain the drivers were concentrating so much on the road we almost got hit few times. )
I guess we just play in the house today. I hope there isn't more thunder, that freaked me out yesterday. Oh, I also an recovering from a double ear infection in my left ear. I am feeling so much better!

How dare he...

I was walking down the steps with Chad and there he was... an intruder! I giant moose. Huge, right there on the door. Staring at me. My fur went up, I went into attack mode. He was tall, so Chad had to help me, but I set him straight.

What a couple of days!

First of all I need to point out I only got to play in one of these 3 events... Yesterday morning while I was locked INSIDE the house, Chad ran 13.1 miles. Heidi and her Dad walked 13.1 miles. They all did great! It was wet and cold. They all finished and lived to talk about it!
Tonight, again while I was locked INSIDE, Heidi and Chad went to their first game at Qwest field. It was cool! Very nice stadium. Drunk Seahawk fans are not good sports. You beat a team who wasn't expected to win 1 game this year. Be happy. They were not good winners. At least they were setting good examples for all the kids around.
BUT, then they came home to let me out... there was snow! 5-6 inches. It was so fun. I love the snow. We played outside for over and hour! I hope it is still there tomorrow!

It'sbeen a while

I know I haven't written in a while. I have been busy. I went to WI with the family. It was fun! I got to play with my Aunt and Grandpa. I had so much fun! My Aunt has a river in her back yard. I want to move there... It snowed too. The only bad thing is the LONG drive. My owners listened to a book on cd called Watchers. It had a really smart dog in it. He could "talk" and read. It was a good story! I want to lean how to read. I want to use the computer like him too. I would order food and balls!
Since we have been home I have exercised a lot. My owners are each doing a half marathon right after Thanksgiving. One is running, one is walking. I have been getting extra long walks and runs. I don't get it when my male owner runs on this belt thing in the bedroom. He doesn't go anywhere? I DON'T get to do anything. (big exhale)
We just had a long weekend of rain. 8 inches of it. Yuck. I didn't get to go out much. I got a couple short walks. I don't mind walking in the rain, I love wrestling with the towels! When it rains a lot I get to play ball in the basement. Tuesday my female owner and I played in the basement and then we walked in the rain. We stopped at the school and I helped my owners vote. NO ON PROP 920!
My friend Bailey was here today. He tries to get too much attention. He steals my toys too. He is still my best friend though. I am going to steal his toys this weekend!

I can hold 3 balls now! I am working on 4. I love fetch. Is there a professional fetch team? I want to sign up. I could be MVP. If you know of one, let me know. I am so good I think my people would move for me.
I am so glad it has gotten cooler. My people are so much more willing to play when it isn't 90 out. I like it too. I was about to ask to be shaved.

Walk Walk Walk

I have been on a ton of walks in the past few months. My owner is training for the Breast Cancer 3-day. She will walk 60 miles in 3 days. I wish I could walk with her, but I can't. I guess they think I could bite someone... I don't like the walks when it is hot. I get to swim on some of them, which is fun!

Snow

I have a new love! SNOW ! I know most people complain about it, but wow. It run and play and just lay down in it! I want to move to this place called Alaska, or maybe Antarctica. I think I could get along with penguins.
We have another family trip to go to snow in a month. I am counting down the days.
