Road race

Today Heidi and her friend did the Great Urban Race today. It is a scavenger hunt/race all over town. About 150 people competed. Everyone was given 12 clues and 5 hours to complete 11 of them. The clues were things like a word search to find a location, Lat/longs to find a location, picto-gram to solve... once to got to the place you had an easy task to complete and take a picture. You could use only public transportation. They didn't know the bus routes well enough and ended up walking close to 11 miles. It was really fun! One of the clues was a tic-tac-toe game where you had to do 3 of the 9 items in order. We did -find a dog and shake it's paw, find a stranger that will let you honk their horn and get a picture of you pretnding to jump into a fountain. You had to be in matching outfits or costumes. There were some great costumes! They do this all over the country. There is one in MSP in September. If you can, I would highly recommend trying this. You get to see a bunch of the city and have some silly fun!

HOT!!

It is hot (for us) this week. It is so nice though to be be dry and see the mountains everyday! My people have had a busy social schedule this week. I have had to guard the house some, but play as well. We went for a good walk last night! Marshall played in a sprinkler for the first time today. He wasn't real sure of it.. bit had fun. He kept to the edge of the spray.

Wii, tent and hats

This has been our house the past few days. My people are addicted to Wii bowling. So far the high score is Chad with 194. Heidi is close behind with 168. Heidi also likes 100 pin. You get 100 pins each frame. Her high for that is 1494.

Olympic Peninsula

We just spent 3 amazing days on the Olympic Peninsula. It was great. We stayed in a cabin at a resort. There were only 6 other cabins. A few of them were right on the water. Ours was at the top of a hill. I did get to go swimming 3 times. It was amazing! My people didn't swim because it was fairly cold. One day the high was in the 60's. We took a day trip up to Hurricane Ridge. WOW!!! It was a great walk. I had to be in the car for most of it. There is a stupid rule that dogs can't go on trails in a National Park. Marshall did not want to sleep at all. He never took any naps. He surprised my people and climbed out of his pack-n-play. The ended up making him sleep in the closet. We had a fire every night. I had my first roasted marshmallow last night. Very good!! We hope to go back again. It was such a good vacation. We had a small world moment. My people were up on the trail at Hurricane Ridge and started talking to a small group of people. That night while I was swimming the same group of people came walking down the steps to the water!

Happy 4th of July!!!!

Happy 4th of July everyone. I like some parts of this holiday, but not the blowing up stuff. I like the food! We went for a good long walk today. I had an afternoon nap. Then then then we went to a house on a lake!!!! I went swimming!! It was so fun. Until people started setting of fireworks. We left the party and are at home! ~Brian doesn't know it, but we gave him something to calm him down. With any luck the neighbors wont be too loud tonight. Marshall was having a blast at the party! The fireworks didn't bother him at all. We will watch out downtown show from the window.
