Update...

I had to go see my Surgeon yesterday for a check up. I walked in the office and started shaking. I don't have good memories of that place. It wasn't so bad. He said I am doing great. Still no fetch.. but healing well.
Heidi is doing well too. She is still a little sore. She has a normal appointment tomorrow and than starts going weekly. I guess it is getting close. We found out the car can be fixed. We will have it back in about 2 weeks. We may get the whole thing painted while it is in there.
Today's plan is to get as much of Marshall's room ready as we can. Tomorrow we can throw out extra garbage without charge, so if nothing else just get things out of packaging.
Have a great Wednesday!

THANKFULLY!!!!! They are fine.

I was kept at home alone last night for hours very worried. Heidi called called about 4:15 and said she was just in a car accident. He told me and took off to get her. When he showed up Heidi was walking around ok, the police were just getting there with EMT in tow. They called Heidi's OB/GYN and said to go in and get checked out. After finishing with all the accident stuff and moving the car off the road, Chad and Heidi drove to the hospital.
Here was the accident written by Heidi. 2 guys were out of their cars fighting in the road. There was 1 car behind them. Car 2 behind them. I was car 3. I was stopped trying to figure out what was going on. I was there maybe 5-10 seconds, always looking forward... bam I was hit by car 4 and pushed into car 2. I grabbed my phone and the battery light was flashing so I called Chad. I got out of the car fairly shook up, but no pain. There was also a car 5 that hit 4. My car had almost no damage to the front end, but a fair amount to the back. We were able to drive it later to a body shop. We don't even have a guess if the insurance company will total it out or not. It is an 8 year old car. I am not really ready to buy a new car... but if we have to. I know Hans and Rachel have a few to recommend!
Heidi spent about 4 hours at the hospital. They were going to check her over first in the ER. It was taking to long, so they went up to labor and delivery. After about an hour and a half of monitoring Heidi was having a few contractions. Marshall was doing great the whole time. Heidi was given a shot to stop the contractions and watched a little longer. At about 9:30 they were released with instructions to take it easy for the next day and come back if the contractions start again. We are all hoping this is the practice run to the hospital and the next time there will be a delivery!
We are going to try to stop by the body shop today and get a few pictures of the car. Otherwise just take it easy today. We have a baby class tonight "Home and car safety" I wonder if they will tell us car accidents are bad!

click for cans

I am posting this late this year, but the click for cans is back. Click on the link, follow the simple directions and Cambell's donates food. I will also add the link to the side with the other two. http://www.chunky.com/ClickForCansLanding.aspx
Have you clicked on the other two links in a while. You sould. They are free. Click on one link, click on the "click here, it's free". When you finish that one there are 5 others at the top you can click and make a difference. I think this will take you about 30 seconds a day.
I expect to see all my visitors left via one of these sites today....

Really?!?

So yesterday my people left me for 6 hours.. really?! A week after I had surgery. I had to just lay down at the front door. And wait...and wait..
They finally came home and let me go for a little walk in the park. They were both excited to see me, but Chad seemed happier. I guess his team won the football game they were at. While we sat in the park they told me about all the people at the stadium with the wrong jerseys on. Really people. If you go to a sporting event you wear one of the teams playing. NO ONE else. If you must wear another team. Why a rival? My people were at a Sea vs. GB game. People were there in Vikings and Bears stuff. Who were they rooting for? Not GB! We saw New England, Bengals, and a few others. Crazy!
Both my people are home today. Heidi took the holiday off to try to get some of the baby stuff ready. I like it when they are both home. They tell me Heidi will be home a lot in a few weeks. I am looking forward to that!

Friday morning

Brian is getting better everyday. Aunt Liz, Brian tore his ACL. The surgery removed his ACL, reshaped the bone and put a plate and screws in his leg. He has his appetite back. He is getting more energy, which makes the "keep him confined and off his leg" for 5 more weeks hard. He does sleep a lot. We move his bed around the house so he can be near us. He likes to be up on the couch too. His latest move is to try to run up the steps before Chad can pick him up to carry him. We have sedatives, we just try to space them out. He looks better! Happier!

Brian is home!

Brian is doing fine. He is resting a lot. He is pretty good at leaving his stitches alone. He has been slow to eat, drinking a lot. We are told this is normal. He has slept most of the evening. Chad has to carry him on the stairs. We don't know if he likes his new hair cut.

Brian update

Brian came out of surgery about 5:30 pm. They were able to do what they needed. He should get to come home tomorrow. Then it gets interesting. For 6 weeks we are to keep him OFF that leg. They don't want him going up steps. After that 6 weeks he starts rehab. We will have to get him to use that leg, not favor the other one? How do you tell a dog to use that leg the same as the other? Time will tell. Atleast we will have a new baby to add to this fun!
We are just really happy the surgert went well. It is very strange to not have him here with us. We don't believe we have ever spent an evening in the house without him. I will post again tomorrow when he comes home. I will try to post a picture too. He wont get a cast, just stitches.

Soap Box

Let me get up on my soap box for a minute. I don't like to get political on my blog. NO ONE is really pushing my issues. Such as animals allowed where my people go. Stronger punishments for people who hurt animals. Free burgers for dogs.
I want to propose a few things for you humans. First- No campaigning more than 3 months before the election. Second- You get 2 commercials a day. That's it.
I urge you all to vote. I go with my people to vote. Maybe someday I will get to vote. But be care full. I heard it is the worst non-holiday day of the year for car accidents.
