It was so worth it!!!

I was bad.. well according to my people. In the dog world, I am awesome. I rolled in some good and smelly animal poop. Yeah!!!! My people don't approve. I had to take a bath. I call it spa day!

Marshall is a happy baby. I feel like he has taken over my blog. I guess I have to be extra cute so my people will take some pictures of me.

USA flight

As an air traffic controller I can tell you bird strikes happen all the time. They are dangerous, but most often happen really close to the runway. The pilots did an AMAZING job landing the plane. WOW!! Everyone got off the plane safe. Great job! Many of us (including me)take the safety talk at the beginning of the flight for granted. I was thinking how I would have done this with Marshall a few weeks ago. American pilots, air traffic and emergency responders are the best. After this flight was to land in Charlotte it was headed for Seattle. I would bet I have worked this plane and talked to this crew.

Some odd things this week...

Phone has been out for a week. Phone company came out and said it was inside the house, therefor our problem. Chad replaced all the inside wires. Phones back, but still have a loud hum that we complained about weeks ago. Called phone company again.. they did a line test. The hum is from the outside line, they will send someone out by Friday at 8pm. ( and you thought the cable co had bad wait times)

Chad got an email this week that one of his friends or family members hired a man to kill him. The hit man was nice enough to say he thought Chad seemed like a nice guy so for a price he wouldn't kill him. Even though we were sure it was just spam, Chad sent the message to the police. They told him this email has been circling around a while, but this is a new version. Just to make sure.. anyone hire a hit man?

The neighbors loaded about 10 bags of trash into a car today that hasn't moved in months. hummm

Ok. I am not making this up. We were given a new toilet Grandpa Don when he was here to replace the one downstairs that our guests use. Chad gave away the old one this week. While he was emptying the water and doing a quick bowl cleaning he found a toothbrush. A new looking oral-b. I doubt anyone will fess up, but which house guest dropped their toothbrush down our toilet? Anyone? Anyone?

I want more fetch...

What a week. The basement has not taken in any more water, even with more rain. Chad has taken out most of the carpet. Still fighting with the insurance co and not sure about the woodwork yet.
Christmas is all put away.. kind of sad. We like Christmas. Next year we will have a tree again!
Marshall slept in his crib last night. He "slept" from 12am-6am. Hopefully we are getting somewhere...
I was happy for the Eagles today!!

update

On the advice of one of Heidi's co-workers we called the fire department and they let us use a pump. As of the morning no new water. We know the carpet is gone, we don't know about the wood work.

spoke too soon

We are not high and dry... we are 2 inches deep and counting.....

Plane, boat or Canada

We are surrounded and stuck! The good thing is we don't have anywhere to go. The passes are getting hammered with snow so all 3 out to the east are closed. We are getting a ton of rain so there is flooding. Parts of the interstate south of us is closed. We are high and dry here in the house. No walk for me today. My people are wimps. They have been playing with a new toy today. They got a video baby monitor. It moves about 300 degrees. It was looking at me. I barked at it. It didn't go away. I don't know about this. I guess it can even see in the dark. Marshall wont be able to get away with anything! Poor guy. Here is a pic of Heidi and Marshall hangin' out in his room.

Home sweet home..

I do not like 30+ hour car rides. Chad and I are back home now. Heidi and Marshall return tomorrow. She has the camera so I can't post pictures. We had a great Christmas! I had so much fun opening gifts. We were very blessed this year. I am so glad we got to see so many family members and friends. When Heidi gets home she will post pictures! Look for them on Tuesday.
Since this is my first post of 2009 I should post some goals for each of us.
Brian- walk more, teach Marshall to throw the ball.
Heidi- walk more, some financial goals, do the mini-triathlon in September.
Chad- better times on half marathon and stair climb, financial goals.
Marshall- eat something other than formula, either walk or talk.
Happy 2009!
