78 minutes

Know what that is?  78 minutes.. movie length?  Drive to see someone?  Time to do a load of laundry? 

I do not want to complain.. but people keep talking about the weather. Usually Summer here is dry and warm.  Sometimes hot during the day but cool at night.  My people spend the long evenings outside. Not this year. We are stuck in spring. It has been wet and cold.  Wet wet wet.  So that 78 minutes. That is the total time this year we have been 80*.  The 10 day forecast doesn't put up much over 70, maybe 75.  The weather is hard on the growing season.  Heidi has strawberries, tomatoes and cucumbers.. so far.. not much fruit.
 We finally had the backyard landscaped. ( 7 years later for those keeping track) We went with seed instead of sod. We are hopeful it grows.  We will get some pictures this weekend. Right not it just looks like dirt!  We have to stay off it for 3 weeks. (sucks) 
  So anyone want to cool off.. Come visit!!!!

Happy Birthday Heidi

Today is Heidi's Birthday!  We are celebrating throughout the day. We started the day with her and I sleeping in and catching up on the computer. Next was lunch and cake!!!  Tonight her and Chad will go see the final Harry Potter movie. This is bitter sweet for Heidi. She is a huge Potter fan. I think she will finish of the night with dinner and more cake! 

Dont worry Donna... it will grow back!

Heidi got a haircut Tuesday.  She donated the ponytail. 

Birthday and Art

Yesterday was Chad's Birthday. We had a good day!  There was homemade apple pie, presents and a movie. Marshall kept taking the gifts to Chad all day to get him to open them.   Marshall went to his first movie last night. I heard he did well. No plans to do it more often though. 

 Heidi bought Marshall this easel Sunday.  Marshall really likes it!  Heidi was so excited to get it for him. She saw one at a friends earlier that day.  She didn't anticipate him unrolling the paper....

For breakfast Marshall's favorite is bananas and pancakes.  Heidi makes a big batch and freezes them. Marshall wanted to help this time!  I like pancakes too. I often get the last bite!

Marshall loves airplanes and helicopters. ( He calls them hopper-doppers) He loves to play with his aircraft carrier.  He has fun watching the fireworks tonight.  We watched them from the living room window.  He kept saying "look, nother one.  Look, nother one"  I hate them.  They freak me out.  I am ready for this weekend to be over.
