Registering By Heidi
So it is kind of fun to run around a store and just pick stuff. However I have never done this before.. Will I like it? How many do I need? Will I use it? I found out the stroller I wanted is discontinued. The store had one left out of the box. I liked the replacement better, so I registered for that instead! But the crib.. I finally found one I liked. I was told it was limited stock. Ok, I can buy it today, that is fine, how many left...NONE. NONE in Washington. Ok WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE IT ON THE FLOOR??!! So I am back to nothing on a crib. I know I have time.. but I want to get one I like, not settle at the end. I haven't really picked a theme for the nursery yet. It is painted sky blue with clouds. We will not do an airplane theme. Any recommendations will be welcome!

Well, I'm glad that I didn't get that super-cute airplane mobile from Pottery Barn Kids! It's a good thing that you mentioned that, because I'm sure a lot of people would assume planes (or helicopters) for you guys, especially with a room painted like the sky...
Don't worry, you'll find something. Have you tried the wonderful world of internet shopping? I know that there is so much STUFF out there.
There's a book called "The Girlfriend's Guide to Gear" that tells honestly what you need and what you can probably do without. Like a bottle sterilizer...you can wash your bottles in the dishwasher and they will be sterile. Stuff like that.

It is overwhelming isn't it? There is always stuff that other moms say you HAVE to have, that you never used, and stuff that no one ever told you about that is the best thing ever. You figure it out.
Do an Amazon registry for all that awesome stuff that BRU and Target just don't carry. (I think you can link it to your target registry too.)
I not big on themes, but how about a farm theme?
Oh! I know this is still kinda planes and probably impossible to find, but what about WWI Flying Ace Snoopy?
I personally love this.
I've got it: have a custom mural of Peter, Lois, Chris, Meg, Stewie and Brian "leaning" over the crib to admire the baby!
