Brian came out of surgery about 5:30 pm. They were able to do what they needed. He should get to come home tomorrow. Then it gets interesting. For 6 weeks we are to keep him OFF that leg. They don't want him going up steps. After that 6 weeks he starts rehab. We will have to get him to use that leg, not favor the other one? How do you tell a dog to use that leg the same as the other? Time will tell. Atleast we will have a new baby to add to this fun!
We are just really happy the surgert went well. It is very strange to not have him here with us. We don't believe we have ever spent an evening in the house without him. I will post again tomorrow when he comes home. I will try to post a picture too. He wont get a cast, just stitches.

I'm glad Brian came through the surgery okay. As for keeping him quiet, I have no ideas. If he is not to use the stairs, will he be forced to stay in your lowest level? Poor Brian. I'm thinking about you.
