Of course the holidays conjure up many memories for everyone. Every Christmas I think about my Grandma and her baking. She made so many wonderful things every year. Rosettes, popcorn trees, krumkake, peanut butter cookies with the chocolate stars and aebelskiver. Aebelskiver, Danish meaning apple slices (singular: æbleskive ). I know she would fill them, but I am not sure what all she used. ( I can not get the italic to turn off...) Apples? Chocolate? Jam? Banana? If anyone can remember please tell me. I always wanted her pan, but my Dad couldn't find it. This summer my Mom bought me one. I made my first batch tonight.
I miss my Grandma very much, especially at the holidays. I know I made her smile tonight.

Bravo, Heidi! Your aebelskiver look great ~ and I'll bet they are delicious! Yes, I'm sure you made your grandma happy. I miss her, too.

Aww--Heidi-- This is a neat post. I love it. The aebelskiver look wonderful but I think it is just so very great that you remember your grandma in this way. Also I really like the vintage NOEL. I am very sure you made your grandma very happy. Once again I really liked this post.
I can almost smell the cinnamin from Minnesota. They look delicious. And it is wonderful for you to remember your Grandma this way.
