Lost my seat in the car.

I am not sure about the new arrival.  She is cute and all... but now I can't go for as many rides.
I'll let Heidi tell you all about what happened after I got a short walk and left alone in the house.
~ Hello everyone!  I am almost 4 days past delivery. I am doing well.  Corinne is doing very well. She is a sleeper!  I thought she would be a little early since Marshall was. I did not expect 16 days early!   Wednesday night I had on and off contractions.  I wasn't sure if they were real or if I had two more weeks of this.  I hardly slept. I had worked until 10 the night before and was due back at 7:30a.  About 6 I called in sick. I hadn't slept nearly enough to do my job. I tossed and turned for about another hour when Marshall woke me up.  Tried one last ditch effort to get back to sleep.. 8 am, rolled over and water broke.  Quickly made a call to see if someone could watch Marshall and come get Brian.  Oh, and we had to pack a bag.  Dropped off Marshall and off to the hospital.  Checked in, got a room, got all hooked up to monitors, iv ready... and nothing.  I was at 0.  This was going to be a long day.  Hours later and nothing changed. I was still having contractions every few minutes, but only about 4 or 5 that I had to stop and breath.  Decision time.  Try some drugs or do the surgery.  The drugs could still result in surgery. We decided to do another C-section. Had to wait for the room and a crew change since it wasn't an emergency.  Just before we went in another women came in further along and I had to wait a little longer.
~ My turn!  So different this time.  Instead of being rushed down a hallway worried about what was about to happen I was wheeled in talking and feeling good.  I moved myself to the operating table and got the spinal for surgery. I was talking with doctors and nurses the whole time.  Prep'ed and underway.  Before long they told me she would be born in about 20 seconds.  She came out screaming!!!  Very healthy!  Scored an 8 on her first apgar.  Finished up and got me back in my room.  Something about all this makes me sick..  (Same think happened with Marshall)  16 hours of throwing up.  Doing much better Friday afternoon and Saturday they let us go home.  We have been settling in well.  Brian wants nothing to do with her.  Marshall helps out, but isn't overly excited.  Now, if anyone of you are still reading this... pictures!

I LOVE these pictures and reading about the hours before her birth. Corinne is beautiful, and Marshall is adorable showing her affection. Thank you for sharing this special time, Heidi and Brian.

I just noticed her dark hair on the back of her head. I can hardly wait to get out there to see Corinne and Marshall, and Heidi, Chad, and of course, you too, Brian.
