October Challenge

When you all read this it will be October. I have 2 challenge for all of you. First, if you have a blog, post something today. We all check these everyday and long for new stuff. Second, set a goal for the month and let us help you.
This is my October 1st post and my challenge is to increase my work outs this month.
Today has been a long day. I woke up yesterday with a sore throat. I got home from work feeling worn out, hot/cold. I decided about 10pm I wasn't going to make it into work this morning. I called in and went to bed. I didn't sleep well. Spent most of the day on the couch watching football. Slept part of the afternoon and decided I could not go in tonight for the overnight. I hope this is short lived. My fingers are doing better. My middle finger is 99% usable. My pointer finger is about 50% now. I have had it unwrapped all day today. I can tell when it bends or moves too much, my whole arm will hurt. The tingling is mostly just from my top knuckle to the tip.
I have been slacking on working out. I have been walking, but weights... hard cardio... So this month I WILL get a total of 15 miles a week in, weights once a week and at least one workout a week will push me out of my comfort zone.

Brian puppy is doing well. We have had a ton of rain today, so he has had fun playing with towels! He got to go running with Chad. (I think he might be starting to get a little grey..) He cuddled with me a lot of the day.

The neighbors keep showing up... more stuff comes out of the house. More junk gets pilled up in the yard. We are still hopefull.

I went to the club this morning and walked, trying to set a new pattern for this month. It felt good.

I'm so sorry that you are not feeling well, Heidi. I hope you didn't pick up something on your flight home. Take care of yourself!

Check out the photos I added to my last two blog entries this morning.

I talked to the owner of the pet store where I bought Peppi and she said "No problem. Give him time to adjust to his new surroundings. He is guaranteed to sing." I feel relieved about that.

I hope to have a new post tomorrow about a new commitment I have made.
