I am 16 weeks along. I am feeling a little bit better, but not done getting sick yet... grrr. Hopefully soon that will all be over. I am just starting to wear some maternity clothes. Some of my bigger regular stuff still fits. Plain maternity jeans were impossible to find. They were all really flair or a bunch of stuff on the back pockets or random stone washing. I found a pair at a thrift store for $13!
I think I will start a registry in about a month. Any tips would be great. Mom's out there! What was a great buy, wish you had two? What should I not waste my money on? Rachel- I know we will get the basic stroller with carrier, but I want one with an adjustable height hand bar too. Any thoughts?
I was to have jury duty again today. City court this time. It was cancelled though. I was curious what city court was going to be like. I was also excited to get some reading done.
I will try to get a picture of me soon.

It is so exciting that you are going to have a baby. I tried to vote but it said that it could not process my request. Will try again later. I hope that you get to feeling better real soon. Yes, please post a picture. Take care!
I'm so happy to hear that you are beginning to feel better. I'm very anxious to see pictures!!! Only 10 more weeks until we come to Seattle to see YOU and to sail to Alaska!
Hmmmm, strollers. One of my favorite subjects. I'm going to have to look and see what's out there this month. They're like cars, always changing. I have to say that I love my German buggy, but I suppose they're hard to get back to the US.
I'll let you know. Hang in there, hopefully you'll m/s will go away soon.
OK, here are my comments on strollers: If I could buy any stroller out there, regardless of price, it would be the Bugaboo Chameleon. They are lightweight, extremely manueverable. You can get the bassinet add-on for when the baby is small, then take it off when they're big enough. You can switch the handle bar so that the baby is facing you or facing front. Plus, they just look cool. They are very, very nice strollers. However, I don't know how you feel about dropping $800 or more on a stroller.
The Graco Metrolite is inexpensive and gets good reviews. Sarah and Genevieve both have them and like them. This one can be used with the infant carrier/carseat. I used the carrier with Josiah for a long time, but with Annika, not so long. It's nice to have while the baby is very small, but after awhile, it just is so heavy and cumbersome, dragging that thing around. An infant can go into a stroller without a carrier...the stroller seat just needs to be fully reclined. My Graco Duoglider reclines fully.
Last option is the BOB sport stroller, which are also very nice and have a couple of awesome features. First, the nice air tires, which make for a very smooth ride. You can lock the front wheel or let it swivel, which means you can take it on runs or walks on trails. One of the best features about the BOB is that you can add a jumpseat to it that makes it (ta-da!) into a double stroller. I have seen a lot of them and they are great, very small and lightweight, easy to push. I am loving the air tires on my German three-wheeler. I can push it with one finger!
Anyway, there's my recommendations. There are a lot more strollers out there, but those are the three I consider the best. Of course, I love Maclaren lightweights, but you'll have to weight until Little Chad or Heidi is big enough to sit up for those.
OK, I shouldn't have said that Sarah likes her stroller...I guess that's not something I know FOR SURE. Gen does. What do you think, Sarah?
It has been "years" since I had to deal with strollers.
But I did notice two close friends/neighbors who have little ones between 2 months and 7 months.
They both have BOB Revolution Strollers and like them a lot.
